What is a feedback group?
Our feedback groups are private email lists. When you join a group by subscribing to the list, you'll have full control over your group membership, so you can turn on and off when you receive group email messages and you can visit the group web page to review archived messages.
Why does Sustainable Practice have feedback groups?
Sustainable Practice is a startup company empowering people to create more environmentally sustainable households and organizations. We need review readers and beta testers to evaluate our sustainability resources to ensure quality. Our focus is the niche market of people who believe in and understand math and science, as opposed to the broad market of people who are confused by scientific terms and mathematical equations. Our resources are in-depth and highly technical, designed to help exceptional people take effective action themselves and help others achieve meaningful and measurable goals for sustainability.
Why should you join a feedback group?
As a reviewer and tester, you'll get early access to everything we publish, a free copy of our Handbook for Sustainability (which we expect to publish by the end of 2024), an opportunity to network with other insightful and caring people like you, and other perks as we're able to procure them.
What do you do after you join a feedback group?
As a subscriber to a feedback group, you're under no obligation to respond to any email message or buy anything. We just ask that when you have time, please give us your honest assessment of our resources and share your ideas for improvements, so we can do a better job empowering people to save our planet one household and organization at a time.
What kind of email messages would you receive if you join a feedback group?
To our feedback groups we send advance copies of our Top Twenty Sustainable Practices, Guidebook to Sustainability, Handbook for Sustainability, and links to online apps like our Environmental Calendar, Sustainability Score, Carbon Footprint, Knowledge Quiz, Merit Badges, Unit Converter, Easy Guides, Science Refreshers, Team Manager, and Link Library. You may also see replies from other group members, depending on how they have set their reply options (reply to sender only or reply to entire group).
Does Sustainable Practice have a Facebook group or use some other social media platform?
We don't use Facebook, but we do use both
Substack and
Medium, where you can leave comments if you'd prefer to give us your feedback that way. By creating private email lists, we're able to send unfinished and earlier drafts of our material to an invitation-only group using regular email, avoiding the pitfalls inherent in modern social platforms.
How do you join a feedback group?
Visit one of the links above. On the group page, unless you are already a member, you'll see a message that says, "You don't have permission to access this content. For access, try contacting the group's owners and managers." Click on that link to send us a message to tell us a little about your background and experience, and request to join the group.
